WHAT IS SCORE?
SCORE is a national nonprofit organization with a public service mission. SCORE's 10,500 volunteers provide small business counseling and training through a network of 389 chapters, 400 branches, and its websites. SCORE has served more than 6 million entrepreneurs since 1964. SCORE currently serves nearly 400,000 entrepreneurs annually. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
SCORE's mission statement says that "SCORE provides professional guidance and information, accessible to all, to maximize the success of America's existing and emerging small businesses."
SCORE counselors are all volunteers who contribute their time FREE of charge. Here in New York counseling is given at various times of the day at several locations. (see Locations page)
Our monthly seminars are designed to give you the knowledge you need to run a successful business. A small fee is charged. (See Seminars page).
